La gioia immensa della U15 nell'Oberland bernese

After a 20-year wait, a Ticino team wins the Swiss U15 Cup. It is Team Ticino Sottoceneri led by coach Matteo Montorfano who has succeeded.

A FABULOUS UNBLEMISHED FINAL TOURNAMENT

Placed in Group 2 with Lausanne and Winterthur, the young HCL players must wait for the outcome of the opening clash to know the name of the first and second rivals.

The duel that kicks off a tournament that will prove to be exciting in all respects is played with the Vaudois, who are overcome with the bombastic result of 4-3. The goals are scored by four different scorers - Andrea Riva, Kenan Jakupović, Ian Tiraboschi and Yassine Ourais.

Next, the challenge with the Zurichers takes place. On the occasion, the goal is kept inviolate, while on the opposite side of the pitch Enea Di Marzo and Ian Tiraboschi score the two goals that define the 2-0 score.

Thus, the conquest of the final takes place with two full victories. Contending for the title for the Ticinese was Basel, beaten 3-1 thanks to seals by Riva (two goals) and Tiraboschi.

THE COMMENT OF MATTEO MONTORFANO (coach Team Ticino Sottoceneri U15): "UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE."

"It was a group victory, of a cohesive team with an incredible spirit. We came to this appointment with confidence, friendship, a mixture of passion, energy and emotions, as well as the management of living together this moment and trying to give our best, with the goal of reaching this goal. A historic goal, since this is the first time the Swiss Cup has come to Ticino. It has been a long journey. Right from the start the boys performed exceptionally well, approaching every single match well and beating Lausanne, Winterthur and Basel in order. Just against the Rhinelanders it was a success achieved with head, legs and heart. It is indeed a great satisfaction.

To make it to this tournament, with the strongest formations in Switzerland, is to have achieved a major milestone. What's more, one has compared oneself with the best profiles in the Confederation. This life experience will be unforgettable for the boys. Teamwork was crucial. The spirit of a team sharing tasks was created. As a result, success was multiplied. In the end, teamwork always pays off; cohesion and unity of purpose makes sure that the staff succeeds in passing it on to the group. So congratulations to all the boys for their performance in the tournament. I would also like to thank all the staff and contributors for their attention and closeness".

THE COMMENT OF ENRICO DI MANNO (Team Ticino Sottoceneri U15 coordinator): "CHARACTER, DETERMINATION, COURAGE AND HEART."

"The boys were outstanding, winning all the games and playing an absolute quality final at the conclusion of which the ASF representatives came up and congratulated us. The entire staff was also super, preparing this tournament impeccably and down to the last detail. You could see the work done by them. In the three challenges the boys showed character, determination, courage and heart. Each duel was played in crescendo, until the final act against a top-level Basel.

A new chapter of history has been written. It took almost 20 years to bring home the first Swiss Cup. I am super-happy about the achievement because the 2010 group is fantastic. Hopefully, other groups will also take an example from our boys, who take the field with an incredible mentality and seriousness in their work. This is the key to success, which has come through the drive and determination shown on every occasion, from practice to games".
