Sunshine and lots of fun for the first 'FC Lugano Golf Trophy'
Postponed a year ago due to adverse weather conditions, the FC Lugano Golf Trophy has made up for it with interest: the first edition of the charity event promoted by the HCL club took place on Friday, June 7, 2024 in the priceless setting of the Golf Club Lugano in Magliaso, which welcomed partners, sponsors, guests and employees of the club along a day kissed by a splendid sun.
Appointment in the morning for the participants in the competition that ended in the middle hours of an afternoon closed by the aperitif on the terrace, in a relaxed and relaxed atmosphere. A friendly "non-golfers clinic" allowed some of the company's employees to try their hand for the first time at a discipline of which they learned the first rudiments, amid a few successful shots and some inevitable dropped strokes. All in the name of fun and the professionalism of the patient and knowledgeable instructors.
In the evening, space was given to dinner, interspersed, between courses, by the award ceremonies. First the one related to the golf competitions conducted by Golf Club vice-captain Pietro Vicari; then the one for the competition linked to the FC Lugano Golf Trophy, an initiative that involved the regional football clubs, from the main to the smaller ones, which had been asked to submit to FC Lugano a project to support the activity of the youth sector that would include a financial contribution from the HCL club. The first edition was won by FC Riviera, which submitted a project to renovate the locker rooms of the Cresciano field, mostly used by the very young players of the club's target region.The club received CHF 11,000, the proceeds of the first successful edition of the FC Lugano Golf Trophy, which sets the date for 2025, namely Friday, May 9.
