FC Lugano is pleased to announce the arrival of Algerian national team member Ahmed Kendouci (06/22/1999), who has tied himself to the Bianconeri with a three-year contract (until June 30, 2028).
With 8 appearances for the Algerian national team, Kendouci brings with him not only experience but also a strong motivation: landing at FC Lugano is an important opportunity for him to face European soccer and prove his worth in a competitive and new context compared to what he is used to.
Kendouci, a dynamic midfielder who brings quality and international experience, is a trained and navigated player, who boasts a distinguished professional career path matured between Algeria and Egypt, with the shirts of Cleopatra FC (the team from which he comes) and Al Ahly SC, a club with which in the season he won the league, Cup (also won in 2021), Super Cup and CAF Champions League. In Algeria, at ES Sétif, he was also the captain of former Juventus player Mohamed Amoura, whose national teammate he is also. Convalescent due to a shin injury, he will be available to the team in September.
Sebastian Pelzer, Chief Sports Officer F.C. Lugano SA: "We welcome Ahmed in the team with great enthusiasm, convinced that his arrival represents an added value on and off the field, thanks to his personality, his technical qualities and his will to emerge that he has shown by accepting the stimulating challenge that has been proposed to him and that brings him in a different soccer from the one he is used to. His track record makes him a footballer capable of rising to the role of leader. For experience, quality and personality, he perfectly embodies the values and spirit of the group we are shaping."
