COUNTDOWN DI FC LOSANNA - FC LUGANO 1

With ninety minutes left in the Super League regular season three teams (Zurich, Lausanne and St. Gallen) are fighting for the last remaining spot in the title poule. The Tigurins currently occupy the sixth position in the standings with 47 points and a goal difference of -3. The Vaudois are seventh separated by three points but with +6. Same score (44) in the standings for Görtler and his teammates, who offer a +2 in the table of goals scored and conceded.

ALL ON THE FIELD MONDAY AT 4:30 P.M.

Day number 33 will therefore prove decisive with all matches (except GC-Winterthur) scheduled for Easter Monday at 4:30 p.m. Zurich will travel to Bern against the Swiss champions, St. Gallen will host Sion while Lausanne will receive Lugano at the Tuilière.

ANOTHER HUNGRY OPPONENT

After facing Maassen's team last Sunday in Cornaredo, the bianconeri thus have another opponent on their hands who absolutely must win the three points if they want to participate in the Championship Group.

ONE VICTORY AND ONE DEFEAT

There are two previous matches in the season. On September 18, in the rematch of the fifth day, Steffen and his teammates won away 2-1 (own goal and Aliseda). In the last match of 2024, in Ticino, by contrast, the Lausanneans prevailed 4-1 with as many as three penalties in their favor. Last season saw two Lugano home wins (2-1 and 2-0) and one Lausanne victory (3-1 at the Tuilière).

FROM 2015 BLACK AND WHITE BUDGET

The balance since 2015 is in favor of Lugano, which has won 13 out of 23 challenges, two draws. As well, four of the six most recent direct clashes have gone to the HCL. The last three matches played in Lausanne have recorded one win on each side in the league, plus one by Croci-Torti's team in the Swiss Cup.

IN THE SEMIFINALS OF THE SWISS CUP

Speaking of the knockout event, Custodio and his teammates are still in contention and will face Basel on Sunday, April 27 in the semifinals at St. Jakob. The other finalist will come out of the match between Biel (who eliminated Lugano) and YB scheduled for the previous day.

DEFEATED IN THE LAST

To return to the Super League, Lausanne is coming off a defeat (1-0) in Winterthur. In 2025 the team had three wins (against Sion, St. Gallen and Yverdon), five draws and six setbacks.

VERY FEARSOME AT HOME

More than half of the points the boys coached by Ludovic Magnin have scored on home turf: nine wins and two draws compared to only three wins and six tie results on the road.

THE MISFORTUNE OF SANCHES

The Vaud team's top scorer remains Alvyn Sanches, 22, a great promise of Swiss soccer. He scored 12 goals and four assists before he was seriously injured on March 21 in his debut with the national team in Northern Ireland. The young fantasist, who was in demand by many European teams, suffered a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

6 GOALS FOR DUSSENNE AND AJIDI

At six goals are Belgian captain and central defender Dussenne and Kosovo-born striker Ajdini. They are followed with five goals by Okou (on loan from Lucerne) and Diabaté, a Mali national. Four goals were scored by forward Sène.

HAJDARI TO BE EVALUATED

The inflammation in his right knee that forced Albian Hajdari to miss last Sunday's match against FC St. Gallen 1879 is regressing, allowing a gradual increase in workloads. His condition will be monitored daily to assess his reintegration at 100% into team activities.

Ignacio Aliseda and Mohamed Belhadj underwent MRI scans. The Argentine is now ready to begin the last phase of recovery from injury, known technically as RTP (return to play). For the Tunisian, the evolution of symptoms will be evaluated in the coming weeks, with the goal of recovering him for the last portion of the season.

Milton Valenzuela: his recovery is proceeding as planned with individual sessions. An MRI is also scheduled for him in the next few days, with a view to RTP.

Sebastian Osigwe: Symptomatology related to left knee inflammation improves. The situation will be re-evaluated daily based on clinical evolution.
